Along with the win at No. 1, Paar beat Santiago Gruter 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot, while Aumueller was equally as impressive at the No. 3 spot, defeating Guy Kubi 6-1, 6-0.

The match of the day came at the No. 5 spot where Nebraska's Hendrik Stahmer battled Will Kendall in the last match of the day, one that ultimatly decided the match.  After losing the first set, Stahmer defeated Kendall 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 to take the last singles point and secure the Huskers' victory.

“Hendrik played a very confident match today,” Head coach Kerry McDermott said. “I felt very confident with him on the court.  He showed great leadership today.”

In doubles, NU was only able to win one match as Stahmer and Francois Van Impe (NU) defeated Peter Antons and Maxime Armengaud, 8-5, at the No. 3 spot. McDermott was impressed with the way his team battled back after dropping the doubles point.

“It was a very good match for us,” McDermott said. “We competed really well. We got a couple breaks toward the end of the match.  The team earned this victory today, especially after dropping the doubles point.”
