The Nebraska rifle team will look to capture an NCAA Championship bid for the sixth straight time when the Huskers compete at their NCAA Qualifier in Murray, Ky., this weekend.
It will mark the second time this season Nebraska will compete in Murray, Ky. The Huskers defeated Murray State 4,602-4,541 on Nov. 9.
The Huskers are coming off their lowest team score of the season, but Nebraska has moved up to No. 9 in the most recent College Rifle Coaches Association Poll. The Huskers hold a combined team average of 4,599.50.
In order to be one of the eight teams invited to the NCAA Championship, NU will have to fair well at the qualifier, as the aggregate score from this weekend will be added to the average of the top-three team scores on the season, and all must come from different locations.
