Individual Camp Philosophy
Our coaching staff has been successful at the high school, junior college, NCAA I, II, III and WNBA levels because we stress the basics of basketball and how to get the most out of a team experience. Basketball is meant to be a fun game because it involves a group working together. It is our goal to help every camper improve their individual skills and their ability to work well with their teammates.
We believe that it is important to help improve the quality of basketball played throughout the state of Nebraska. We enjoy developing relationships with players and coaches who attend our camps. It is our goal that each athlete is given the tools to improve in their overall game. In addition, we hope to instill our desire and love of basketball to everyone we work with. Our coach-to-camper ratio will be one for every six to eight campers. Be ready to work and have fun!!
Camp Benefits
Each camper will receive an adidas Husker T-shirt and Gatorade products.
Team Camp Eligibility
A member of the coaching staff or someone serving as coach must accompany each team. Each team must be composed of a minimum of seven players. Teams will not be admitted without at least seven players. History has shown teams with nine, 10 or 11 players are most effective.
Facilities
Camps will utilize the courts at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Lee and Helene Sapp Recreation Center and the NU Coliseum. Other on- or off-campus courts may be used depending on conflicts.
Housing
Campers are housed two to a room in the air conditioned residence halls. Any roommate preference should be mailed with your application (Two campers per room).
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are available upon request.
Meals
All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are provided for all Overnight Campers at Shooting and Elite Camp. Lunch and dinner is provided for Commuter Campers at Shooting and Skills Camp. Lunch is provided each day of Day Camp.
Health Care
All campers must carry their own medical insurance. Nebraska Women's Basketball Camp and the University of Nebraska cannot be responsible for injuries sustained at camp. An athletic trainer will be on hand for all sessions, and a doctor is on call. We recommend that each camper be in excellent physical condition. This not only prevents injuries, but also makes the learning process much easier. Please notify camp staff in advance of any special health conditions or health care needs.
Physicals
Before being admitted into camp, all campers must present a medical release form with a parent's and doctor's signature, along with a 2008-09 school physical.
Camp Gear
All campers should wear or bring appropriate training gear. Overnight campers are expected to bring their own towels, blankets or sleeping bag, as well as toilet articles, swim suit and other articles of clothing as desired. Extra spending money for snacks, ets., may be helpful.

Yori began her seventh season at Nebraska in 2008-09, after leading the Huskers to their fifth straight postseason appearance with a trip to the second round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament. The Huskers have continued to climb the Big 12 Conference ladder in her first six seasons in Lincoln, including a tie for fourth in the powerful Big 12 Conference in 2006-07, when NU finished with a 22-10 overall record. The Huskers posted back-to-back 20-win seasons in 2006-07 and 2007-08, on their way to back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament.
