Costello Leads Huskers in Rout of Wolfpack

Morgantown, W.V. - Christine Costello captured the overall individual title and Ryann McGough posted a season best in air rifle as the Nebraska rifle team defeated the N.C. State Wolpack Saturday 4,610 - 4,482.

The Huskers improved to 4-4 on the season, led by Costello's season-best 1,157 combined score. Costello also captured the smallbore title with a 577. Amanda Jeffries and Ryann McGough split the air rifle title as each shot a 584.

The victory capped a solid weekend for the Huskers and McGough, who set season bests in both air rifle and smallbore. The four shooters in the Husker lineup (Costello, McGough, Jeffries and Kostal) finished in the top four positions in the match.

The Huskers now return home for three straight matches at the NU Rifle Range. NU kicks off the home stretch on Jan. 23 against Mississippi.
