Huskers Take on South DakotaState

The Nebraska swimming and diving team is set to return to the pool for its first dual meet in over a month this weekend, as it takes on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Dec. 12 in Brookings, S.D. The Huskers haven’t had a dual meet since Nov. 1 against Iowa, as they’ve had three Invitational tournaments since then. NU has nothing but dual meets from now until the Big 12 Championships on Feb. 25, including three against Big 12 Conference foes.

The Huskers finished eighth at last week’s competitive Texas Invitational, which featured six of the top 25 teams in the country. Twenty Huskers set career-best times in the pool as Nebraska had one of its best outings of the year.

Nebraska is looking for its first dual victory of the season after beginning they year 0-2, losing at Illinois and at Iowa. The meet against the Jackrabbits will mark the Huskers’ last competition of the 2008 calendar year, as they won’t be in action again until Jan. 17 against Kansas.
