Lincoln ? Eight Huskers qualified for championship finals during Session 4 of 7 of the Husker Invitational on Saturday morning. Five preliminary races were held during the session, including the 400-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke.
Christina Yemm (4:37.09) qualified for the A finals of the 400 IM by finishing with the sixth-fastest time in prelims. A pair of Huskers, Kelsey Grushecky (58.32) and Mariah Hutchinson (58.43) qualified for the A finals in the 100 Fly, while the same duo qualified for the A finals in the 200 Free, with Hutchinson swimming a prelim time of 1:54.14 and Grushecky swimming a 1:54.67.
The Huskers also had two qualifiers for the A finals of the 100 Breaststroke, with Kaitlin Arntz (1:06.37) swimming the third-fastest preliminary time and Hailey Dean (1:07.42) swimming the seventh-fastest time.
C.J. Bray qualified for the A finals in the last preliminary race of the day, the 100 Backstroke. Bray had the sixth-fastest prelim time, 59.29.
The Huskers are currently in fourth place with 371.5 points. The rest of the field is chasing Rice, which is leading the way with 477.5 points. Saturday's finals session begin at 4 p.m.
