  • Tonight’s loss ended a streak of 15 straight Husker victories over Missouri in Lincoln. The setback was also just the Huskers’ second loss in its last 35 conference openers (2002 at Iowa State), and marked the first time since 1977 Nebraska has dropped its first conference home game.
  • The Huskers dropped their Homecoming contest for just the third time in the past 40 seasons and are now 72-21-4 all-time in Homecoming games, including 12-6-1 against Missouri.
  • Nebraska dropped its seventh straight game against a ranked opponent and dropped to 5-6 at home against ranked teams since 2000.
  • The 52-17 loss marked Nebraska’s worst setback to the Tigers in Lincoln. The previous worst loss was a 31-0 setback in 1958.
  • Nebraska senior wide receiver Nate Swift caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Joe Ganz in the first quarter. Swift’s touchdown reception was the 15th of his career, tying him with Jon Bostick for third on the Nebraska career touchdown receptions list. He trails only Johnny Rodgers (25) and Maurice Purify (16) on the Husker career list.
  • Swift caught five passes against Missouri, giving him 123 career receptions. Swift is 20 receptions shy of Johnny Rodgers’ school record of 143 career receptions. Swift has 20 catches this season, becoming the first player in school history with 20 or more receptions in four consecutive seasons.
  • Swift has caught a pass in 37 of 43 career games and tonight marked his ninth game with five or more receptions, including three in 2008.
  • Senior receiver Todd Peterson caught seven passes for 81 yards in tonight’s game. His seven catches matched a career high set at Texas A&M during the 2006 season. His 81 receiving yards pushed his career total to 1,084 and moved him up four spots to 13th on the Nebraska career receiving yardage list.
  • Peterson is 66 yards away from 10th place on Nebraska’s career receiving yards list (1,150 by Tracey Wistrom). Peterson also moved within three receptions of cracking the top 10 on the Nebraska career receptions list with 68.
  • Senior quarterback Joe Ganz completed 26-of-38 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. Ganz opened the game by completing his first eight passes before an incompletion.
  • The 290 passing yards by Ganz tonight pushed his career passing total to 2,844, moving him into eighth pace on Nebraska’s career passing list. Ganz moved past Scott Frost (2,677), Steve Taylor (2,815) and Jammal Lord (2,848) in tonight’s game.
  • Sophomore place-kicker Alex Henery connected on a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter of tonight’s game. Henery has connected on 15-of-16 career field goals. He also hit on both of his PAT attempts and is a perfect 65-of-65 in his career
  • Nebraska failed to score 30 points, ending a streak of seven straight games with 30 or more points, its longest streak of 30-plus point games in 12 seasons.
  • Tonight’s crowd of 85,372 was the third-largest crowd in Memorial Stadium history and was the 294th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium.
  • Nebraska falls to 26-5 all-time in night games at Memorial Stadium.
  • Junior Menelik Holt’s fourth-quarter touchdown catch was the first touchdown reception of his career.
