The Nebraska men's tennis team will continue its fall season this weekend at the University of Virginia Ranked Plus 1 Tournament, located in Charlottesville, Va. David Bendheim, Calin Paar, Hendrik Stahmer, and Francios Van Impe will all compete for the Huskers as they will travel to Virginia for the second time in three weeks during the fall season. There will be plenty of competition at this weekend’s tournament as 18 of the 48 competitors are ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s preseason rankings.
The Huskers will have two players competing in the A-1 singles bracket. Hendrik Stahmer will face off against Matt Kecki (USC) in the first round of play. After a first round bye, David Bendheim will challenge the winner of Bryan Swartz (Tennessee) and Drew Courtney (UVa.). In the A-2 singles bracket, Francois Van Impe will battle Dylan Arnould (Duke) in the first round and Calin Paar will play Davey Sandgren (Tennessee).
In doubles play, Bendheim and Stahmer will team for the first time this fall as they challenge the team of Singer and Courtney (UVa.) in the A-2 doubles bracket. In the A-3 doubles bracket, Calin Paar and Francois Van Impe are set to play Wietoska and Arnould of Duke in the first round.
