Hicks Claims Gold Medal at ISSF World Cup

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ? Nebraska Head Coach Morgan Hicks won the gold medal in the women’s 50M three-position rifle competition at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup last weekend. The medal was the first of her career at the World Cup.

 

Hicks, a 2004 U.S. Olympian, earned top honors with a score of 677.9 points. The Roy, Wash., native was third (581) entering the final round of the event and rallied with a final mark of 96.9 for her winning total.

 

Lidija Mihajlovic of Serbia, who is ranked No. 1 in the world, and Annik Marguet of Switzerland placed second and third, respectively, behind Hicks.
