Leading the way for NU was sophomore Craig Brester at 197 pounds. Brester rocketed through the bracket with four pins to claim first place. Junior Paul Donahoe pinned two of his opponents as he won three matches to take the title at 125 pounds. Brester improves to 17-2 on the year, while Donahoe has a mark of 14-2.

Sophomore Mike Rowe faced the most opponents of any Husker as he defeated five opponents to claim first. Rowe notched two pins, two major decisions and one technical fall on the day. The tournament is Rowe’s second action of the year as he made his season debut at the National Duals on Jan. 12.

Junior Vince Jones leads the Huskers with seven pins on the season and added to that total on Saturday. Jones had two pins and two major decisions en route to winning the 184-pound class at the Jimmie Open.

The Huskers resume action on Feb. 2 as NU hosts No. 11 Missouri for Alumni Night at 7 p.m. in the NU Coliseum.
