Chase Daniel
Junior, Quarterback

On the offensive game plan

“We played our game on a number of facets. We had too many penalties, but you have to give credit to the coaches. They spent two weeks drawing up the game plan and we executed perfect. But it comes from up top, Coach C. (Christensen) and Coach Yost, Coach Pinkel got in it a little with week. They had an unbelievable game plan.”

On the great effort by the defense

“I heard someone was talking that it was the first time since 1959 that Nebraska hasn’t scored a touchdown in a game (against Missouri). It’s unbelievable. That a tradition-rich school like Nebraska doesn’t score a touchdown. That’s a big story. If our defense plays like that week-in and week-out or even close to that and we keep putting up points, the sky’s the limit.”

What’s the sky’s the limit mean?:

“It’s as high as we can possibly go. I don’t want to get ahead of myself. It’s a great win for this program. Glad we could show ourselves out on ESPN, but we also have a tough Oklahoma team coming up.”

Jeremy Maclin
Freshman, Wide Receiver

On QB Chase Daniel

“He’s a competitor. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. We rally around him and when he’s doing good, he’s going to make us look good.”

On the defense

They stepped up big time. This is the closest we’ve been to playing a complete game. There is still room to get better on both sides of the ball. I think right now we are just enjoying the win.

On the team atmosphere in the hotel on Friday night

“We were in there watching the highlight film. Everybody just felt it. There were emotions. Tears being shed, it was a great environment to be around last night.”

Pig Brown
Senior, Safety

Playing well on prime time TV

“It’s huge. That’s what we wanted to do and that’s what we accomplished. Mizzou wants to be recognized as a top contender in the nation and if we play like that we know (we can be that).
