Huskers in 16th after Round One

Las Cruces, N.M. - The Nebraska men's golf team shot a 296 in the first round and currently sits in 16th place at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.

Freshmen Mike Coatman and Tyler Parsloe share the team lead for the Huskers and are tied for 44th overall. Both shot a two-over-par 73 through round one. For Parsloe, it is the first time in his career that he's competed toward the overall team score.

Mark Pillen and Chris Bruening each shot 75 and Trent Price shot 76.

Round two is in progress on Monday afternoon.
