Huskers Head Into Final Round in 16th

Las Cruces, N.M. - The Nebraska men's golf team is in 16th place heading into the final round of play at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.

Trent Price recorded a team-best 73 in the second round to finish the day with a two-round total of 149. That puts him in a tie for 63rd place, and one shot behind Nebraska's leader Mike Coatman. Coatman shot a 75 to finish the day at 148.

As a team, Nebraska shot 603 on Monday. Texas Tech is the leader at 557. UT-Arlington is second at 560. Joe Ida of Kansas State and Garrett Merrell of Texas Tech are tied for the individual lead at 136.

The Huskers' final tournament of the fall will conclude with the final round on Tuesday morning.
