Oklahoma State Postgame Player Quotes
vs. Nebraska
Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007
Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, Neb.)

Zac Robinson
Quarterback

On why the game was so easy
"Really our coaches did such a good job this week preparing us for every situation we could be in. They just told us it was not any different than practice. We went out and they did a good job of putting us in those situations."

On taking a knee at the end of the first half after scoring on every possession
"I was kind of disappointed. I saw we had a minute left and maybe two or three timeouts. I think maybe if we were on the 20 yard line we would have gone for it, but with the lead we had it was good. I wanted to play it, though."

On the team's turnaround
"I am not going to lie. I think it is a completely different team. We are as close as we have ever been. Our defense is stepping up big time. You got to see that. Execution and not turning the ball over on offense led to success today."

On Nebraska's lack of pressure on him
"I think I only got hit maybe one time on a pass play. They have some big guys up front but our offensive line did a good job today. I just have to give the credit to my offensive linemen."

On his block in the first half
"I did not get a chance to see the replay or anything, but I just saw that guy coming at me. I have never cut a guy but I just decided to dive at his legs and see what happens. It definately felt good because I saw it spurred the run a little bit."

On what this win says about the team after last week's loss
"It says a lot. We could have easily just went through practice all week just not knowing what we are going to do. These coaches did a good job of helping players rally. We knew that we gave one up last week and we had to get it back."

Rodrick Johnson
Linebacker

On the defense's performance without injured players
"Last week was a big letdown for our defense. We shut them out in the first half and in the second half they came back scored 24 points. This week our motto was finish and this week we did. We tried to shut them out to the best of our ability in the second half, but they got two touchdowns in. They are a great team. I take nothing away from their team, nothing away from their quarterback and nothing away from their running back. They were an awesome team to play today, and I am just happy to come out of here with a win."

On the defense's stop of Nebraska's fourth and short in the first quarter
"With that drive they got some of the momentum going their way. After we stopped them on fourth down, the momentum swung back in our favor and we just took off from there. The defense played well. The offense played awesome. We had a lot of playmakers today on defense and offense especially. Special teams really did not play a big factor in today's game. It was really a lot of offense and defense played and we came out on top. It has been 47 years since we won here. This is a big win for the university and a big win for us."

On Coach Beckham's mood
"Coach Beckham is going to stay pumped regardless. Even if we won by one point, he would be pumped up like he is now. He is always a competitive person. He just wants to win."

On the team's first-half performance
"We played perfect football in the first half. No penalties to my recollection. Except for that drive where they got some momentum and drove down, but we stopped them on fourth down. The first half to me was perfection. We did exactly what the coaches asked us to do and in the second half we tried to continue."

On the offense feeding off the defense's play and vice versa
"Definitely. That is always how it is once the offense gets going and they can get going. On defense, our job is to stop them and try and get the ball back to our offense. We did that. We got a couple turnovers that gave our offense good field position and they were able to punch it in for the scores."
