- Nevada has now lost four straight season openers (three of four on the road) and is 56-42-3 all-time in season openers. Coach Chris Ault has a career mark of 14-9 in season openers.
- Brett Jaekle's 36-yard field goal in the second quarter was his fifth consecutive make dating back to last season. The last time Jaekle missed a field goal attempt was a 43-yarder at Idaho on Nov. 4.
- Jonathon Amaya's 80-yard interception for a touchdown marked the second interception of the sophomore's career and his first career touchdown. Last year, Nevada scored four defensive touchdown, including three interception returns for TDs.
- Joshua Mauga led the team with a career-high 13 tackles, which included 1.5 tackles for loss. Jonathon Amaya and Kevin Porter also both turned in career bests in tackles with 12 and 10, respectively.
- Nevada has never been shut out as a member of Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A) and has not been shut out since Sept. 27, 1980, a streak that was extended to 318 games on Saturday. The streak is the longest in the nation. The last time Nevada was blanked was at Weber State, a 10-0 loss. That is the only shutout loss ever suffered by Hall of Fame coach Chris Ault. During the streak, Nevada has shut out eight opponents, the last being a 42-0 win over Louisiana Tech last year in Ruston, La.
- In 2006, Nevada averaged just 4.2 penalties per game for 33.6 yards. On Saturday, the Wolf Pack was flagged 12 times for 86 yards.
- Today's attendance of 84,078 is the largest crowd that Nevada has ever played in front of. The listed capacity of Memorial Stadium (81,067) is the largest stadium that Nevada has played in.
