Huskers Head to Holiday Classic

After a two-week break, the fourth-ranked Nebraska bowling team returns to action this weekend for its sixth tournament of the season at the Holiday Classic in Bessemer, Ala.  The tournament features nine of the top 16 rated teams, including No. 2 Vanderbilt.  Open practice for the contest begins Saturday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holiday Bowl Fun Center, with the tournament to follow.  Each team will bowl ten regular games with pinfall to determine tournament standings.

Six Husker bowlers will be traveling to the Holiday Classic, including seniors Adrienne Miller and Amanda Burgoyne, juniors Lindsay Baker and Emma Butchard, and redshirt freshmen Cassie Leuthold and Sarah Koch.

Nebraska has topped three tournaments this season, including a recent win at the Morgan State Invitational over No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 2 Vanderbilt and No. 3 New Jersey City.
