After nearly a two-week break, the No. 4 Nebraska bowling team will travel to Baltimore, Md., for theMorgan State Invitational this weekend. The Huskers roll their first game at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Brunswick Perry Hall Lanes. Action will continue Sunday at 9 a.m., where each team will bowl five 4-game baker matches to determine a winner.
The Huskers will be competing against 23 other teams this weekend, including each of the top-five rated teams in the NTCA national poll. No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 3 New Jersey City and No. 5 Central Missouri will all be seeking the Morgan State title.
Seniors Amanda Burgoyne and Adrienne Miller, juniors Emma Butchard and Lindsay Baker and redshirt freshmen Cassie Leuthold and Sarah Koch make up the traveling team for this weekend's event.
Huskers Place Third at Mid-Winter Classic
Senior Amanda Burgoyne earned a spot on the all-tournament team as the Nebraska bowling team took third at the Mid-Winter Classic at Jonesboro bowling lanes on Sunday, Feb. 4. The Huskers rolled a total pinfall of 9,042 and held a record of 7-2 in the three-day event. NU fell to top-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson (8-2) and New JerseyCity (8-2).
Burgoyne claimed a third-place finish with a 198 average on the weekend.
