Huskers Claw Past Tigers

Lincoln - The Nebraska rifle team ended regular season action with a conference win over Memphis on Saturday, Feb 10, at the NU Rifle range.  The Huskers topped the Tigers both smallbore (2,296-2,249) and air rifle (2,333-2,300) for combined scores of 4,629-4,549.

Junior Kim Chrostowski led the air rifle competition with a score of 589, while freshman Christine Costello shot 580 for a third-place finish.  Senior Stacy Underwood topped smallbore with a 581. 

The match scores from Saturday will be used in NCAA selections and determing the NRA champion, which will be announced at the NCAA championship all-american banquet.

The Huskers have a two-week break before competing in the GARC championships on Feb. 24-25 at Oxford, Miss.
