The Nebraska women's tennis team placed eight current and former team members on the latest Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll List, awarded to those who achieve at least a 3.0 grade-point average during the 2006 fall semester.
Junior Imke Reimers earned a 4.0 GPA, making her one of 33 Husker athletes to achieve the feat. Reimers has been named to the Honor Roll all five semesters that she has attended UNL, and was a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2006.
Pamela Castillejos, who earned her degree last semester and finished her tennis career at Nebraska in 2006, was named to her third Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, while Ewelina Skaza, also a senior from last year's team, was named to her fourth. Skaza, along with Reimers, was a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2006.
Five other current team members were honored along with Reimers. Freshmen Diana Kuhl and Wiveca Swarting, sophomores Ashley Finnegan and Maria Ring and junior Maria Popova were also named to the Honor Roll.
Nebraska had a total of 270 honorees through 23 sports, including 33 who had a 4.0 GPA.
