The Nebraska rifle team added a match against the University of Missouri-Kansas City to its 2006-07 campaign. The dual is set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Nebraska rifle range.
The Huskers, 6-3 on the season, have two matches remaining before entering post-season action.
Nebraska Ends Fall Campaign on High Note
The Huskers finished their fall campaign with a first-place finish at the Air Force Invitational on Nov. 30. The Huskers shot a season-high score of 4,661, defeating both TexasChristianUniversity and Air Force.
Senior Stacy Underwood led the Huskers in the air rifle competition, shooting a career-best 594. Senior Kristina Fehlings topped the smallbore competition with a score of 586.
NCAA National Championship Update
The NCAA rifle committee announced a location for the 2007 NCAA Championship tournament. The championships will be held at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks’ PattyCenter on March 9-10.
