Huskers to Battle Wildcats, Mountaineers

Lincoln-The Nebraska rifle team returns to action this weekend with matches against the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the West Virginia University Mountaineers at Lexington, Ky.  The Huskers will face off against Kentucky at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Barker Hall Rifle Facility.  NU will then compete against West Virginia for a 9 a.m. shootout on Saturday.

 

After six matches the Wildcats remain undefeated this season, while the Mountaineers hold a 2-1 record. 

 

“This tournament is going to give us a great chance at beating Kentucky,” Nebraska Head Coach Launi Meili said.  “We need to perform where it counts.  We really don’t have a choice this weekend but to perform at our highest level.”
