Metcalf, who is tied for the team lead and ranked sixth overall with 56 points, helped the United States hit .449 as a team in posting a 25-17, 25-18, 25-11 victory.
The United States will square off with Brazil Saturday at 2 p.m. in Japan (Friday at 9 p.m. central) and closes pool play with Puerto Rico on Nov. 5.
