On the injuries to NU's linebackers the past three years

“We’ve lost some good players. Somebody always steps up. We should be healthy by the end of the week. Pretty positive about that.

"Corey (McKeon) was much better this week than he was last week. We’ve got a better rotation with Lance (Brandenburgh) in there. We just have to get them all 100 percent.”

On Missouri's spread offense

“They are very multiple. Multiple formations, but they’re going to get in pretty much the same sets whether it’s empty or 2x2 with one back in the backfield or 3x1 with one back in the backfield. They could have one tight end. They could have two tight ends in there. They are very multiple (with) formations.”

On if Missouri could force Nebraska out of its 4-3 base scheme

“It just depends on what the down and distance is and what they’re calling. That’s about it.”

On if Missouri’s offense is similar to other opponents NU has faced so far in 2006

“They (run) more empty (backfield) than what we’ve seen. In the second half against Oklahoma, it was strictly empty. Their quarterback is outstanding and they have some outstanding receivers. Those two tight ends, when you watch them on tape, look like wide outs. There are some big-bodied guys out there.”

On the pace of Missouri’s offense

“It’s a no huddle (offense). They’re not going to huddle. They’re going to get lined up. But they have to get their substitutions in. They’re going to look and see how you’re lined up defensively and make the calls from there.”
