Huskers Conclude Fall Season in Alabama

Tuscaloosa, Ala. ? The Nebraska men’s tennis team wrapped up its fall season on Sunday at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships.  At the conclusion of the tournament, the Huskers’ top performer proved to be sophomore Hendrik Stahmer, who competed in the No. 3 spot and came away with a 3-1 record.

 

Sunday was the final day of tournament play as the Huskers went 1-2 against Miami in doubles.  The team of Arturo Navarro and Stahmer earned the Huskers’ only victory against the Hurricanes with an 8-2 win over Westin Wendt and J.C. Whitner.

 

Overall the Huskers compiled five wins in doubles and seven in singles competition on the weekend.

 

The Crimson Tide Fall Championships wrapped up the fall season for Nebraska.  The Huskers will return to action Jan. 20-21 for the Region V Team Qualifier in Tulsa, Okla.  The dual meet season will begin Jan. 27 when Nebraska travels Fresno, Calif. to compete against Loyola Marymount and FresnoState.
