Boone Pickens Stadium
Stillwater, Okla.
Quarterback Zac Taylor
On losing a 16-point first-half lead
“We felt like we were doing a lot of things offensively, and that we were really taking advantage of them. You’ve got to give them credit, they stepped up and they started making plays and adjustments. The second and third quarter we really could have taken advantage of the lead, but offensively we just didn’t do it.
On whether or not their was a hangover from last week’s loss against Texas
“I didn’t (think there was a hangover) at all. I thought we had a great week of preparation and practice. Honestly, I thought we did a great job focusing. We were prepared, we knew that this was a tough, tough place to play. They’ve beaten a lot of teams over the last couple of years that have come down here.
On struggling passing after the first quarter
“I was just out of rhythm. It was really embarrassing because those were throws that I could have taken advantage of. I was just frustrated with myself.”
Defensive end Adam Carriker
On whether or not the defense was prepared for what they saw from OSU’s offense
“They didn’t come out and run the quadruple option or anything, we just didn’t play very well. Give them credit. They’re a good team. They had a good game plan, we just didn't play well.
On Nebraska’s chances of still winning the North
“Missouri lost today, so our records are even in the Big 12. Next weekend’s game is going to be very big in determining the Big 12 North champ, and we’re well aware of that.
On Oklahoma State’s touchdown to end the half
“It gave them momentum right before the half. We were going to go in with a 10-point lead, we were going to get the ball to start the second half and it was a big mental boost for them getting that touchdown. It was a huge play.”
Running back Brandon Jackson
On Oklahoma State’s second half defense
“Everything they did, we prepared for. I guess we just had some little miscues. Games go up and down”
On their offense’s inability to answer Oklahoma State’s scoring
“It’s very frustrating. I just look at it as it’s done and over with, and we’ve just got to move on.
