The Huskers will face quality opponents at the Worth Classic, giving NU a good taste of what competition will be like this spring. Nebraska opens with a pair of games against host Notre Dame and Illinois-Chicago on Saturday, before facing Michigan and Western Michigan on Sunday.
The trip to Notre Dame marks the Huskers’ third and final fall tournament. NU opened its fall slate by finishing with a 2-2 record at the Bluejay Fall Classic Sept. 23 and 24, despite a heavily depleted roster.
After a week off, Nebraska hosted the Big Red Fall Classic Oct. 7 and 8, where the Huskers posted a perfect 4-0 record, including a pair of shutouts over Creighton and Kansas on the final day of the tournament.
Following this weekend, the Huskers will enter offseason training before returning to practice in January. NU opens its 2007 season at the Paradise Invitiational in Honolulu, Hawaii, Feb. 8-11.
