Pregame vs. Louisiana Tech
Cody Glenn
Sophomore, I-Back
On sharing starting duties at running back
“We all knew it was going to be like that. They told us after fall practice it was going to be like that. So when the depth chart came out today, we knew there wouldn’t be a No. 1. We know that we’re all going to play, so there is no No. 1 person in the rotation.”
On practicing with the No. 1 and the No. 2 offense
“We don’t really practice with one or the other. At practice we just kind of do our thing as running backs and when they call for us to come in we get in a rotation. When it’s our turn we get on the field with whomever and when that’s done we go try and get back in the rotation. We don’t really worry about ones and twos, but instead just try and stay in our rotation.”
On alternating from play-to-play and series-to-series
“I would say more series-to-series. If we’ve got a guy in there for a couple of plays and he’s feeling it, then we don’t want to pull him out and take away that rhythm.”<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
On what he learned in fall camp
“I understand the offense a lot more. It’s a complicated offense, and now I’m starting to understand a lot more about it. I understand more what to do depending on what the other defense is doing.”
On his personal goals
“I haven’t set any yet for myself. All four of us have the goal of improving as a unit. In the Big 12 last year, we were like 12th and so this year we want to move up into the one, two or three spot.”
On his impressions of the new Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex
“It’s awesome. I was recruited by Texas A&M last year too and I went and visited them after they just got new facilities and ours are way better. Recruits coming in here are going to be wondering where their letter of intent is because it’s that nice. It’s pretty safe to say that we have the nicest facilities in the Big 12.”
On Louisiana Tech's defense
“They have a pretty good linebacker named Brannon Jackson and he’s putting on good pressure all the time. We’ve seen some tape of their linebackers and they are all pretty good.”
