Nebraska Extra Point Club Kickoff Breakfast Set For Sept. 1

The Nebraska Extra Point Club will kick off the 2006 football season with the second annual Extra Point Club Kickoff Breakfast on Friday, Sept. 1.  The breakfast will be held at the Champions Club, located at 10th and Stadium Drive just west of Memorial Stadium. Doors will open at 6:45 a.m. and a hot breakfast buffet will be served at 7 a.m.

Nebraska Offensive Coordinator Jay Norvell and Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove will be the featured speakers at the breakfast to discuss this season.  The program will begin at 7:15 a.m., and includes a short season preview video to get fans in the Husker spirit.  The event will conclude around 8 a.m.

Tickets to the Kickoff Breakfast are $15 each, or fans can reserve tables for eight people for $100.  Members of the Extra Point Club receive a $3 discount per ticket for up to two tickets.  Tickets will be held at the door for fans to pick up upon arrival at the breakfast.  Fans can make reservations for the breakfast by credit card through the Nebraska Athletic Development Office at (402) 472-2367, or by check or money order sent to the Development Office at One Memorial Stadium, P.O. Box 880154, Lincoln, NE68588-0154.  Reservations must be made by Aug. 30.

While the event is open to everyone, fans who want to become members of the Extra Point Club can contact the NU Development Office.  Memberships are $35, and include free football posters for those who attend the breakfast and Extra Point Club ballcaps for the first 50 fans who sign up.
