Lincoln ? For the Nebraska baseball program, Saturday morning was a day to pitch in, as the 2007 Huskers worked together for the first time this year at the annual Lincoln Paint-a-thon.
One of the oldest community service projects for the Husker baseball team, members spend the day painting, cleaning, mowing lawns and other assorted outdoor chores for a house in the Lincoln area.
The event, held in conjunction with the start of the school year, is the first time the team gathers together for the upcoming season. Click on the link above to see the Husker baseball players in action.
The Huskers, which finished 42-17 last season and reached the NCAA Regional, will begin practice on Sept. 19, with the Red/White Series tentatively scheduled for Oct. 11-13.
