Baltimore, Md.-The undefeated Husker bowling team continued its winning streak on Sunday at the Morgan State Invitational in Baltimore, Md. NU rolled a total pinfall of 7,883 in the two-day event held at the BRC Perry Hall Bowling Center. Nebraska was followed by Fairleigh-Dickinson, who finished with 7,867 for second place.
Sophomore Lindsay Baker captured her second tournament title this season with an average of 218. Claiming a season-high finish of fifth, senior Karla Engh rolled a 196 average in the competition. Junior Amanda Burgoyne placed eighth for the Huskers with a 190 average. Senior Jamie Martin finished 21st with a 182 average, while junior Adrienne Miller placed 22nd with a 181 average.
“This is the first time we had an event with so many dominant teams,” Coach Bill Straub said. “The girls definitely feel great about this win.”
The Huskers are back in action on March 4 at the Alabama A & M tournament in Birmingham, Ala.
