Seth Jensen, a 6-3, 275-pound defensive tackle from FortMorgan (Colo.) High School, was another one of the Huskers’ early commits, pledging to join the 2006 class in June 2005. Jensen ranks as the 36th-best defensive tackle prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com and the fourth-best prospect in the state of Colorado. Playing for Coach Rick Kahl at FortMorgan, Jensen recorded 70 tackles in earning first-team all-conference and honorable-mention all-state honors as a junior. As a senior, Jensen logged 89 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, seven tackles for losses and two fumble recoveries. On offense, he recorded 30 pancake blocks. Jensen earned four stars from Scout.com and three stars from Rivals.com. Scout.com ranks Jensen as the 24th-best defensive tackle prospect in the nation. He also made the Insiders Midlands Top 50 list. Jensen was named to the Denver Post’s “Best of the Best” team, making the offensive line in Class 3A. Jensen only visited Nebraska, but also received offers from Oklahoma, UCLA, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, ColoradoState and Wyoming. College Football News has Jensen ranked as the 37th-best defensive tackle in the nation. Jensen also cracked the Fab50Recruiting.com Top Fab50 Defensive Lineman. Jensen is ranked among the SuperPrep Midlands Top 77. Analyst Tom Lemming listed Jensen as one of his “High Risers.” College Football News ranks Jensen as the 37th-best defensive tackle prospect in the country. PrepStar placed Jensen on its All-Midlands region team. Jensen also plays basketball for FortMorgan, and played baseball early on in his high school career. Jensen, the son of Dean and Jane Jensen, was born on September 1, 1987.
