Brandon Johnson hails from Compton (Calif.) Community College, the same school as current Husker Ola Dagunduro. A 6-3, 312-pound defensive lineman, he ranks as the 84th-best Junior College prospect according to Rivals.com, and received a three-star rating from both Rivals.com and Scout.com. As a freshman, the Chicago-native played for NAIA school GracelandUniversity in Lamoni, Ill., and totaled 51 tackles and eight sacks before transferring to Compton for his sophomore season. As a sophomore playing for Coach Cornell Ward at Compton, Johnson recorded 79 tackles, including 10 sacks and 15 tackles for losses, earning First-Team All-Western State Conference Southern Division honors. Johnson also received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oregon and Washington. College Football News ranks Johnson as the 54th-best junior college prospect in the country and the eighth-best junior college defensive tackle in the nation. He attended high school at Marshall High School in Chicago, Ill. Johnson was born on September 2, 1985.
