Springfield, Mo.--The Nebraska bowling team began the new year on the right foot, earning its second consecutive team title at the Greater Ozark Invitational in Springfield, Mo., on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers dominiated as they posted an 8-2 record over the two-day event held at Enterprise Park Lanes.
Sophomore Lindsay Baker led NU to victory, placing first with a 227 average over the weekend. Baker was chosen the Most Valuable Player on the all-tournament team for her outstanding weekend. Junior Amanda Burgoyne also made the all-tournament team, placing fourth with a 214 average. Senior Jamie Martin held a 207 average, placing sixth for the Huskers.
Nebraska is on the road again next weekend for the Brunswick Coca-Cola Invitational in Las Vegas. The event will be held at the Gold Coast Bowling Center.
