Kansas' Win Over Nebraska

Is the team's first against Nebraska since 1968, snapping a streak of 36 straight wins by the Cornhuskers.

Makes the all-time series against the Huskers 87-22-3 in favor of Nebraska.

Is KU's fifth straight win in Memorial Stadium this season (5-0).

Gives Mark Mangino his 17th career win as a head coach, making his overall record 17-28.

Makes KU 534-530-58 all-time.

? Today's attendance of 51,750 marked a new Memorial Stadium record.

? KU's 40 points marked the most ever against the Huskers.

? The Jayhawks' 40 points also marked the most by KU in a Big 12 game since 1999 when it defeated Baylor, 45-10 in Lawrence.

? With his 14-yard punt return in the first quarter, junior Charles Gordon moved past Marcus James (Missouri) and Dante Hall (Texas A&M) and into eighth place on the Big 12 Conference punt return yardage list with 971 yards for his career.

? Senior wide receiver Mark Simmons' 40-yard touchdown reception from senior quarterback Jason Swanson in the opening stanza marked KU's longest TD pass of the season. The TD was Simmons' 14th of his career and fifth of 40 yards or more.

? With his 100 receiving yards, Simmons moved past Richard Estell and into second place on the KU all-time list with 2,031 for his career.

? Simmons' two touchdown catches marked a career high. Simmons has caught at least one pass in 33 consecutive games.

? Senior cornerback Ronnie Amadi's blocked punt was returned for a touchdown by senior linebacker Darren Rus in the first quarter. The TD was a flashback from the Aug. 30, 2003, game against Northwestern, when Amadi and Rus teamed up for the same play in the same endzone. The TD against Northwestern also marked the last time KU returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.

? With his four pass receptions, senior running back Clark Green moved past Richard Estell and into fourth place on the KU all-time pass receptions list with 120 for his career. Green's 146 all-purpose yards also moved him past Tony Sands and into fourth place on the KU all-time list.

? Green's 39-yard run in the third quarter marked a season long and the longest since his 37-yarder against Oklahoma State on Nov. 16, 2002.

? Junior running back Jon Cornish's 72-yard run in the third quarter marked a career-long, a KU season-long and the longest by a Jayhawk since Bill Whittemore ran 74 yards for a touchdown at Tulsa on Sept. 28, 2002.

? The last time KU had two 100-yard rushers and a 100-yard receiver in a single game was at Colorado on Nov. 15, 1980. (Green - 103 rushing, Cornish - 101 rushing, Simmons -- 100 receiving).

? Since 1995, KU is 29-10 when a Jayhawk player rushes for 100 yards in a game.

? The last time KU had back-to-back 200-yard rushing games was Sept. 20 (Jacksonville State) and Sept. 27, 2003 (Missouri).

? In the last two home games, KU averaged 363 total yards of offense to its opponents' 159.

? Junior wide receiver Dominic Roux's two receptions were for a career-high 22 yards.

  Junior defensive lineman Eric Butler recorded his second sack and KU's second safety of the season in the fourth quarter.
