Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska Women's Golf Association named Megan Place, a redshirt freshman on the Nebraska women's golf team, as the 2005 Women's Amateur Golfer of the Year.  Placed earned the award by accumulating the most points from local and national tournaments throughout the summer.

"I'm very proud of Megan," Coach Robin Krapfl said. "She's worked extremely hard this year and she's made great strides in her game.  This award is a great accomplishment for her."
