Tulsa, Okla. - The Nebraska men's tennis team concluded fall play at the Wilson/ITA Men's Central Region Championships, Sunday, at the University of Tulsa.
Juniors Adrian Szatmary and James Clow were both eliminated from the tournament in the quarterfinal round of the main draw singles at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Szatmary was defeated by third-seeded and No. 49-ranked Tomas Bohunicky of Oklahoma State, 7-5, 6-2. Clow fell to 16th-seeded Sergi Villa of Drake, 7-6 (4), 6-1.
In the backdraw singles, senior Jerry Posch defeated Andy Connelly of Tulsa, 6-2, 7-6, but fell to Michael Jung of Arkansas 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, in the semifinal round.
The Huskers return to action Jan. 20 at the Rice Met Invitational in Houston, Texas.
