On losing a close game
"It's definitely more painful. You know you have more of a chance to win. We had chances to win today, but didn't capitalize on them. That's the hardest thing right now is knowing that. But we know we have to get ready for Baylor next week."
On if their defense was surpised by how much Ross was used as a receiver
"Coming into the game we knew he was the leading rusher in the Big 12. With their success last year we thought they would run the ball a little more than what they did, especially in the first half. But he is a great player. They just found ways to get him the ball and he capitalized."
On if they felt positives from the game afterwards in the locker room
"It doesn't feel like it now, but when we go back and watch tape tomorrow, we'll see we did some good things, and of course some bad things, too. Right now it is pretty heartbreaking."
On how they felt going into overtime
"I thought we had some momentum, especially with that fumble late in the game. Then our offense scored first, and I think our defense had a lot of confidence that we were going to stop them and close out the game."

On the feeling in the locker room
"It is a real sad locker room. We had a lot of chances today and when it came down to the end they just made more plays than we did. We're going to go back and watch the film and use it for motivation for next week."
On if this loss is harder to swallow than previous losses
“Absolutely. Because the way we came back in double overtime. Like I said though, we have to come back tomorrow and worry about the next game. We are going to try and put this behind us."
On Nebraska's defense
“They made more plays than we did. They got in position to make plays we just couldn't come up with. Their defensive backs were making plays. Whether it was just the ball hitting the ground, I need to make those catches and be able to hand the ball back to the referee and not have it pop out. That is just a matter of myself focusing a little more on the ball and not relaxing when it gets in my hands and I'll be able to make those plays."
On the atmosphere in overtime
“We were ready for that. We practiced with stadium noise all week so that wasn't really a factor. We had hand signals and stuff like that. Obviously it was a great crowd and they were loud the whole game but that didn't determined the ballgame.
On if this is the toughest loss in his career
“Yeah, definitely. Just because of the way I had chances to make plays today and didn't come up with them. I really did some things that hurt our football team, and I need to come back and make more plays and focus on a good week of practice so I can make more plays next week."

“When you win the game you celebrate for 24 hours, when you lose the game you forget about and come back and try to be a better team next week. That is what we're going to do."
