Nebraska forward Chelsea Aubry saw her most extensive action of the FIBA Americas Championship on Saturday, playing 33 minutes while scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds to help the Canadian National Team to an 83-81 victory over Puerto Rico in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic.
Aubry, a 6-2 junior from Kitchener, Ontario, added one assist and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw to help the Canadians even their record at 2-2 in the five-day tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2006 World Championships in Brazil.
Canada enters the final day of the tournament in third place with six total points, trailing Cuba and Brazil, who are both undefeated at 4-0. The Cubans meet the Brazilians on Sunday. Canada will square off with the hosts from the Dominican Republic, who are winless through the first four games of the tournament.
