Nebraska seniors Adam Tietze and Steven Friedman were recognized this week as Academic All-Americans as selected by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Both Tietze and Friedman completed their senior seasons with the Huskers this past spring and are slated to graduate from the University of Nebraska in December, Tietze with a degree in history and Friedman in finance.
Recipients of this distinction must be considered of sophomore status or higher and maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or better. This is the fourth consecutive honor for Tietze during his career with the Huskers that began in 2002 when he joined the program as a walk-on. The award is Friedman’s second and adds to his many accomplishments at NU, which include All-American status on the parallel bars in 2003.
