14 Husker Swimmers Earn Academic Honors

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska swimming and diving team showed its success in the classroom by placing 14 swimmers and divers on the academic All-Big 12 teams announced on Tuesday.

The academic All-Big 12 team's are divided into first and second teams, with first team members earning a 3.20 grade-point average or higher, and second-team honorees calculating a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.  Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.

Nebraska’s junior class led the squad with six of Huskers’ 10 first-team honorees.  All four of Nebraska's divers who were eligible for academic honors based on the 60 percent participation requirement all earned spots on the first or second team, including three first-team selections.
