Lincoln --- The Nebraska-Kansas men's basketball contest this Saturday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center has officially sold out, the Nebraska Athletic Department announced Thursday.
Seating at the Devaney Center was sold out as of Thursday, Jan. 27. Since then, 500 additional standing-room only tickets were put on sale through the NU Athletic Ticket Office. All standing-room only tickets were sold as of late afternoon Thursday, Feb. 3, and no further tickets will be available for purchase.
When the Huskers and third-ranked Jayhawks tip off Saturday at 11 a.m., it will be the second sellout of the year at the Devaney Center. The last time NU had two sellouts at the Devaney Center in a season was 1994-95, when the Huskers had three sold out home games. The crowd on hand Saturday could surpass the 14,000-mark for the first time since 14,055 were in the building in 2002 as Nebraska fell by a single point, 88-87, to No. 1 Kansas.
Fans are reminded to arrive at the Devaney Center early as traffic delays from construction surrounding the facility may occur. Fans coming from the north can enter the State Fairgrounds Park off 14th Street to reach parking lots 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8, while people looking to enter Lot 6 should enter off 14th Street from the south. Lots 4 and 5 can also be accessed from 17th Street. The Fairgrounds Park can also be accessed from 27th Street.
