Huskers Complete Play at Rice/Met Invitational

Houston ? Joel Reckewey and Adrian Szatmary led the Nebraska men's tennis team Sunday at the Downtown Club at the Met as they reached the consolation doubles finals before being knocked out of the Rice/Met Invitational.

Reckewey and Szatmary advanced to the 'A' Flight consolation final with an injury walk-over against Luis Diaz-Barriga and Garrett Snyder of Texas. The Huskers then gave a solid performance in the title match before dropping an 8-6 decision to Jon Reckewey and Greg Shearer of Baylor.

Nebraska returns to action on Monday, Jan. 24, in Houston when the Huskers take on the host Rice Owls in their first dual match of the 2005 campaign.
