Lincoln ? The Nebraska football team was full of holiday spirit on Wednesday as the entire team split up to visit local hospitals and rehabilitation centers in the Lincoln community.
The Huskers visited Madonna Rehabilitation, St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center and Bryan LGH East and West in four groups of 30 players. The players spent an hour at each stop signing autographs and bringing best wishes for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The visits were a part of the University of Nebraska football community outreach program headed by NU Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Life Skills Keith Zimmer. Each year the Huskers participate in numerous programs and events to give back to the community.
