Nebraska continued its preparations for Saturday’s Big 12 North matchup with Missouri with a one-hour and 40-minute practice Thursday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
The Thursday practice put a cap on Nebraska’s full-scale preparations for Saturday’s 11:10 a.m. game against the 4-3 Tigers. Nebraska will complete its game-week preparations with a brief Friday walk-thru at Memorial Stadium.
Husker Head Coach Bill Callahan said his team moved at a good pace in Thursday’s practice, and characterized the workout as a “quick, brisk and sharp practice.”
Callahan said Nebraska is in good shape physically for this point in the season, and that I-back Cory Ross and safety Josh Bullocks, both limited by injuries last week, will be at full speed for Saturday’s contest.
Callahan also expressed his appreciation for the $1 million gift from Darin and Jessica Erstad to Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium Improvement Project.
“I got a chance to meet with both of them today,” Callahan said. “I appreciate all of his efforts, both when he was here as a player and what he is currently doing in support of our program.”
