Huskers 13th at Xavier Invitational

The Nebraska men's golf team sits in 13th place after two rounds of the Xavier Invitational at the Oasis Golf Club in Loveland, Ohio. The Huskers struggled to a round of 300 in the opening round, but rebounded with a 293 in the afternoon for a 593 total through 36 holes.

Team leader Indiana blazed to a 555 team total after rounds of 281 and 274 on the 6,921-yard, par-72 layout. Indiana has an 11-shot lead over St. Mary's (CA), while UNC-Greensboro (571), Wisconsin (573) and Ball State (574) round out the top five. Nebraska heads into Tuesday's final round eight shots outside the top 10.

Individually, junior Judd Cornell continues to pace the Huskers. Cornell fired rounds of 70 and 72. His two-under par 142 total left him a tie for seventh place, 11 shots behind tournament leader Jeff Overton of Indiana who posted rounds of 65 and 66 for a 131 total. The remainder of Nebraska's lineup is led by Tom Bethel and Drew Reynolds who are tied for 59th at 150.

The Xavier Invitational concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
