No. 5 Huskers Head to North Platte to Face Creighton
Nebraska wraps up a busy week of action Sunday afternoon, as the Huskers will square off with intrastate rival Creighton in North Platte, Neb. The matchup between the state’s two Division I teams will take place at North Platte High School and a capacity crowd of 2,400 is expected, as tickets sold out in less than an hour in early August. Sunday’s match will be available on the Pinnacle Sports Network, including B107.3 FM in Lincoln with John Baylor and Diane Mendenhall calling the action. Live audio will also be available on Huskers.com. Live Stats will not be available

Both teams have been on a roll entering Sunday’s matchup. The Huskers (12-1) have won nine straight matches - all by sweeps - since losing to Florida A&M on Sept. 10, and are ranked fifth in this week’s USA Today/CSTV Coaches poll. The Huskers defeated Oklahoma, 30-17, 30-22, 30-16 Saturday afternoon, as Christina Houghtelling had a career-high 15 kills to lead NU’s offense. At 12-4, Creighton comes to North Platte enjoying its best start in school history after beating Drake in Omaha on Friday night
