Huskers Back Outdoors as Camp Continues

Lincoln- The Huskers were able to head back outdoors Wednesday, as the rain stayed away and temperatures remained cool for the third day of fall camp.

Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove was encouraged by the effort of the team in their first practice with contact.

"We went helmets and shoulder pads, so our guys were knocking the rust off today for our first time with contact," Cosgrove said. "I thought that we had guys give great effort out there today.

Cosgrove was particularly pleased with the intensity his defense is playing with early on.

"One of the things we want to be known for is being a physical defense," Cosgrove said. "We expect them to be aggressive and have fun out there doing it."

Nebraska continues fall camp on Thursday with a 2:45 practice in Memorial Stadium, before donning full pads for the first time on Friday afternoon.
