Callahan, Coaching Staff Set for Busy Thursday

Lincoln-The Husker coaching staff is set for a full day of planning and instruction on Thursday, July 29. In addition to continuing meetings in preparation for fall camp, the Nebraska staff will be involved in two other activities on Thursday.

The first-ever Coach Callahan’s Husker Football 101 for Women will be held on Thursday at the Embassy Suites in downtown Lincoln and will serve as an exciting way to educate female Husker fans. Check-in for pre-registered participants beginning at 2 p.m. The event has been filled with 1,000 pre-registered participants and no further applications can be accepted or accommodated. All sessions in the clinic will be taught by Coach Callahan and his staff. All proceeds from Coach Callahan’s Husker Football 101 for Women will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Also on Thursday, Coach Callahan and members of his coaching staff will speak to high school coaches from across the state as part of the Nebraska Coaches Association Clinic at Lincoln North Star High School. Coach Callahan will address the clinic from 6 to 7 p.m. at North Star. Following Coach Callahan’s address to the clinic, each of Nebraska’s nine full-time assistants will conduct position breakout sessions to the clinic. The breakout sessions are from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. and will allow the staff to return to Football 101 for the final two evening sessions.
