Lincoln - Four members of the Nebraska women’s basketball team earned recognition from the conference for their academic accomplishments by being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll.
Katie Morse and Jina Johansen led the way for the Huskers in the classroom during the 2004 spring semester. Morse, a senior secondary education major, posted a perfect 4.0 GPA, while Johansen, a junior nutrition and dietitics major, was named to the honor roll for the sixth consecutive semester.
Heather Kephart, a 5-8 guard from Canute, Okla., earned her second straight spot on the honor roll, while senior Margaret Richards closed her Husker career by earning a spot on the honor roll as well.
The Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the previous semester. Overall, Nebraska had 263 student-athletes named to the spring honor roll, including 33 who produced perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the spring semester.
