Landgraf Named First-Team Academic All-American

Lincoln ? University of Nebraska gymnast Libby Landgraf received a national honor on Thursday, as she was selected a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Landgraf was selected for the women’s fall/winter sports at-large team, a team made up of several fall and winter Olympic sports. Landgraf becomes Nebraska’s 213th Academic All-American, as the Huskers’ total leads all NCAA programs, 59 ahead of second-place Notre Dame.

A native of Fort Collins, Colo., Landgraf carries a 3.793 GPA in management and has been an instrumental member of a Husker gymnastics program that won three Big 12 titles and made three NCAA Super Six appearances during her collegiate career.

As a senior, she earned first-team All-America honors on uneven bars and second-team honors on the vault, helping the Huskers to an NCAA Championship appearance. A six-time All-American at Nebraska, Landgraf was a two-time All-Big 12 competitor in 2004. She became the first collegiate woman to perform and execute a three-and-a-half twist in her floor exercise routine.

In the classroom, she was a three-time, first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for seven consecutive semesters.
